About Andrew Steuer
My name is Andrew Steuer III and I am an artist and photographer in Cochise County, Arizona, USA. I have been interested in art and in the study of birds my entire life, and birds have always been the main focus of my artwork. My pursuit of birds in turn sparked my interest in other living things and in the natural landscape itself. This led me to branch out into nature photography.
I paint with watercolor in a naturalistic style. Among my influences are the great wildlife artists Fenwick Lansdowne, Robert Verity Clem, and Glen Loates. I view their outstanding artistic achievements as markers in setting my personal goals as an artist.
In photography, my biggest influences have been Eliot Porter and Philip Hyde. These two masters were unsurpassed in their ability to capture nature on a grand scale as well as in intimate detail.
